These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CareRing mobile application ("the App") and related services operated at carering.app, published by Vasil Nonchev ("we", "us", "our"), an independent developer based in Bulgaria, EU.

By creating an account or using CareRing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create a CareRing account. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

CareRing is a family caregiver coordination application that enables users to:

• Create and manage care circles for family members or loved ones
• Track medications, dosages, and schedules
• Assign and manage caregiving tasks
• Schedule and track medical appointments
• Record daily check-ins (mood, pain levels, notes)
• Maintain medical records (conditions, allergies, emergency contacts)
• Share caregiving responsibilities among circle members

3. Account Registration

• You must create an account using Google Sign-In to use CareRing.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
• You must promptly notify us at support@carering.app if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

4.1 Available Plans

4.2 Billing & Auto-Renewal

• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through the Google Play Store and managed via Google Play Billing.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region according to Google Play's pricing.

4.3 Cancellation & Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through Google Play Store > Subscriptions.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy.
• We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds outside of Google Play.

4.4 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or other users' use of the service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App.
• Use the App to store or transmit malicious code or content.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the App.
• Share your account credentials with others.

6. User Content & Data

6.1 Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into CareRing, including health information, care notes, and other personal content. We do not claim any ownership rights over your data.

6.2 License to Operate

By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the CareRing service. This license terminates when you delete your account.

6.3 Data Shared Within Care Circles

When you join a care circle, other members of that circle can view the data shared within it (medications, tasks, appointments, check-ins, care notes). You are responsible for ensuring you have the appropriate authority or consent to enter health information about a care recipient into the App.

6.4 Data Handling

Your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

7. Care Circle Responsibilities

• The circle owner is responsible for managing membership and access within their care circle.
• You must have the legal authority or explicit consent of the care recipient (or their legal guardian) before entering their health information into the App.
• Circle members should only be granted appropriate roles (Owner, Admin, Member, Viewer) based on their caregiving responsibilities.
• You are responsible for removing members who should no longer have access to the care circle.

8. Intellectual Property

The CareRing application, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Vasil Nonchev and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be available uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
• Medication reminders or notifications will always be delivered on time.
• The data stored in the App is accurate (accuracy depends on user input).
• The App will meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Vasil Nonchev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
• We shall not be liable for any health outcomes, missed medications, or medical decisions made based on information in the App.
• Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable EU law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vasil Nonchev from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your use or misuse of the App.
• Your violation of any third party's rights.
• Health information you enter about a care recipient without proper authority or consent.

12. Account Termination

12.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service.
• Use the App in a manner that could harm other users or the service.
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity.

We will provide reasonable notice before termination unless immediate action is necessary for security reasons.

13. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We will provide reasonable advance notice for material changes. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will provide at least 60 days' notice and the ability to export your data.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria and applicable European Union regulations, including the GDPR.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved as follows:

1. Informal resolution: Contact us at support@carering.app first. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within 30 days.
2. EU Online Dispute Resolution: EU consumers may use the EU ODR platform.
3. Courts: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Sofia, Bulgaria.

14.3 Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law, including the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU).

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vasil Nonchev regarding your use of CareRing, superseding any prior agreements.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes:

• We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
• We will notify you via in-app notification or email at least 30 days before material changes take effect.
• Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
• If you do not agree with the changes, you may delete your account before they take effect.
